General

• The Mega Tesla is a defensive building in the Builder Base that is unlocked at Builder's Workshop level 8.
• It is a defense that can damage both air and ground troops.
• The Mega Tesla attacks with a chain of rays; the electricity it shoots out damages a first target within range of the Tesla, and then if possible, the beam will arc toward a second target up to 3 squares from the first target and also damage it.

Strategy

Defensive

• The Mega Tesla deals great damage, but has a low rate of fire. It's good to protect it by using splash-damage defenses and traps, such as the Carbonizer, Smasher, and Mega Mine, to avoid being distracted by enemies with low-hit troops.
• Mega Tesla's Chain Lightning can chain to a Stealth Archer under her cloak and kill her, as long as she has another nearby target to strike first.

Offensive strategy

• Try stacking your opponent's base with Enraged Barbarian after entering the base so other troops, like the War Machine, can stay safe.
• The Skeleton Balloon can withstand shots from the Mega Tesla and drop skeletons to distract it.

Appearance

• The Mega Tesla undergoes significant visual changes at levels 6, 7 and 8.
• When initially constructed, it is comprised of a pyramid-type building with a gold tip and multiple wooden supports.
  • At level 2, the Mega Tesla gets a stone base and smaller beams between the supports.
  • At level 3, all the ropes disappear and are replaced by wooden beams.
  • At level 4, the electricity stores turn blue, and a diagonal beam replaces the others on the right side and you get a stone base.
  • At level 5, a metal ring is placed on top of the original stone supports and the stone supports are changed to stairs.
  • At level 6, there are metal crosses that replace the wooden beams.
  • At level 7, the Mega Tesla gains blue supports at the bottom of the golden tip.
  • At level 8, the blue supports turn gold, and the gold tip is encased by a glowing Tesla coil.

Extras

• The Tesla coil on top of Mega Tesla at level 8 looks like the Tesla coil in Sparkles from Clash Royale, another game created by Supercell.
  • The coil is also based on level 7 Laboratory and level 7 Tesla Tower.
