    Summary

    General

    • The Catapult is a splash damage defense that has one damage per second. It can do quick work on most support troops because the splash area is different than the usual blast ring of mortars and mage towers. Troops behind the initial cone-shaped target will take splash damage and troops next to or in front of the target will be unharmed. Splash damage decreases with distance.
    • The Catapult can target ground and air troops, but it can only hit one type per shot. For example, if a Catapult targets the Archer Queen with her healers performing a Queen Walk attack, only the Archer Queen will be damaged since in this attack it only affects other ground troops and vice versa.

    Strategy

    Defensive

    • Use it to aid high-damage, single-target defenses like the Single-target Hell Towers, as it will defend against large hordes of weak troops, while the strongest defense will take out any heroes or high health troops.

    Offensive

    • Use strong Troops instead of troop groups because it has a high attack area, similar to mortars.

    Appearance

    • At level 1, the Catapult has a blue wooden arm, supported by a metal, that supports rocks that have been tied with a rope.
    • At level 2, the Catapult gains bronze bolts on the arm and the stone that supports the base.
    • At level 3, the brass screws are removed from the legs. The gray areas at the base are now black and the blue areas are now a shade of light green. The gray bands on the legs are replaced by black brackets with gold lines. The base of the arm also turns light green and the metal bracket becomes larger. The armrests turn gold.
