- The Barbarian King is a bigger, stronger, more aggressive, more impressive and more powerful Barbarian. He is the first hero to be unlocked at Town Hall level 7. He is automatically summoned once the Altar of the Barbarian King is built, which costs 5.000 Dark Elixir. Therefore, the Dark Elixir Warehouse is necessary to get it.
- The Barbarian King is an immortal unit (since he is a hero), so he only has to be summoned once. However, if it is wounded or defeated in an attack, it must regenerate its health by sleeping for a period of time before it can be used again. The maximum period it takes to regenerate depends on its level; the higher it is, the longer it takes to regenerate.
- The Barbarian King will defend the village as long as he is not regenerating his health from a previous attack. The Barbarian King only defends his territory around his platform and will retreat if he is drawn too far. If the village is attacked while he is regenerating health, his altar will be empty. If he fixes on a troop, he will follow them until they are killed or killed. Once the troop is killed, and he is out of his patrol zone, he will return to patrol around his altar, even if the altar is destroyed. You don't need to take down the Barbarian King to get three stars on a base.
- If he's damaged or defeated while on defense, he doesn't need to regenerate health afterward.
- The amount of time you sleep to regenerate is directly proportional to the health you lost at the end of the battle. If he is undamaged (or fully healed before the battle is over) then he is ready to fight immediately, however if he falls in battle or is defeated then he must sleep for some time to regenerate. The more the Barbarian King improves himself, the longer it takes to fully regenerate his health.
- The Barbarian King has very high health but moderate damage, so it is best used as a tank. Deploy it first to distract defenses, then deploy lower health units (like the Archer Queen) to deal the damage. However, at the lower levels, such as Town Hall 7-9 you might want it inside the base as your heroes are good damagers. Another way to use it is to make a funnel. He is very clear about where to channel and his ability (Iron Fist) makes the funnel very easy.
- Hero regeneration after a Multiplayer Battle begins as soon as the player begins searching for a Multiplayer opponent. Therefore, if the player spent some time searching for an opponent to attack before completing an attack, part of the regeneration will be completed by the time the player returns to their village. However, if the player cancels the attack by pressing "End Battle" before completing an attack, regeneration will be reset. This effect is most noticeable in the higher leagues below legend, where a considerable amount of time can be spent searching for these opponents.
- Starting at level 5, the Barbarian King gains an ability called Iron Fist that can be used on the battlefield. Partially heals him for a specified amount per Iron Fist level, summons an additional horde of barbarians, and grants the Barbarian King and his summoned barbarians increased damage and speed. This No. it stacks with the Fury Spell and does not affect any other troops, including other barbarians belonging to the regular army. This ability becomes more powerful every fifth level.
- If the ability is unlocked, once the Barbarian King is deployed, its icon in the Troop Deployment window becomes Iron Fist's activation method. Just click on its icon again and the Iron Fist will activate.
- If the ability has not been used before the Barbarian King is about to be defeated, it will activate automatically by default. However, this feature can be disabled in the settings (by disabling "Automatically use hero's abilities when defeated").
- As the Barbarian King summons barbarians from his skill, it is good to upgrade your lab barbarians so that the summoned barbarians are stronger and destroy the buildings faster.
- The four heroes of the Home Village serve different roles in raids. The Barbarian King is the tank specialist, while the Archer Queen is the damage specialist, the Grand Sentinel is the support specialist, and the Royal Fighter is the defense specialist.
- The Barbarian King can often be used to create funnels; if there are no holes in nearby Walls, it will stay outside the Walls and clear out buildings outside. As it is capable of absorbing a lot of damage, it can be used to clear areas covered by high DPS defenses, such as a Tesla or Catapult farm (where several of the same defense type are grouped together to provide concentrated damage). However, air troops may be better suited for the funnel if anti-aircraft DPS is lacking in those areas, and you still have to be careful with single-target Inferno Rooks, which can quickly defeat you and destroy the funnel.
- A common way to use the Barbarian King is as a tank, to distract defenses and allow troops with low HP to survive. For example, you can use it with the Archer Queen; he tanks the damage and the Archer Queen deals the damage. This is a common use and a starting phase for heroes in air strikes, where they are of little use to the main army. The Grand Sentinel can also be shielded by the Barbarian King at the same time due to his Life Aura.
- When attacking, it can be deployed like any other unit. When damaged, it must sleep to regenerate health before it can be used again. The regeneration time is directly proportional to the amount of health you must recover. It can be recovered instantly with Gems.
- It is best used with the support of ranged troops, such as the Archer or the Wizard.
- It is also good for helping to destroy the remaining buildings in a village, after most or all of the defenses have been destroyed.
- The Barbarian King can be easily cornered by a group of Archers or Barbarians, as he only attacks one target at a time and has a somewhat slow attack speed against swarms.
- As the Iron Fist ability recovers some health, you must allow your Barbarian King to take some damage before activating this ability to maximize the health recovered provided by the activation of the ability. The exception is at the end of a successful battle in which the Barbarian King survives taking little or no damage. The Iron Fist ability can be used to speed up the base cleaning process.
- The Barbarian King can be healed by a Healing Spell or a Healer. However, since he is a hero, this occurs at 55% of the normal troop rate.
- Avoid using the ability when the King approaches a Bomb Tower or an area where you suspect there will be a Giant Bomb, unless you desperately need to regain health. If you do, the summoned barbarians will most likely be annihilated by the resulting explosion. However, this becomes much less of an issue with the higher level barbarian king, as when the bomb explodes, it is likely that not all of the barbarians have appeared yet, so only a few are killed.
- Against a barbarian king: If a defensive king is causing trouble for your troops, use some small troops, such as barbarians, behind a tank troop. This will ensure that the King is defeated with minimal loss of troops.
- If the Barbarian King moves, troops can enter the range of the Barbarian King token and be attacked.
- You can override the blast using the Great Sentinel's Eternal Tome ability, but you may find it more useful to save the ability to tackle a more defended section of the base.
- Activate the option "Automatically use hero skills when falling" in the settings, since there is no problem in doing so; his hero ability improves his survivability and increases his damage output.
- Unlike the Clan Castle troops, the Barbarian King cannot be drawn to the edge of the map and then destroyed out of range of the defenses (unless his Altar is close to the edge). If your target leaves its patrol zone, it will retreat and engage another enemy within its patrol zone. If there are no enemies left in his patrol area, he will resume patrolling.
- Although the Barbarian King cannot be lured out of his patrol area, he will draw attacking troops towards him, sometimes ignoring the structure they were originally targeting. This can be a problem in some cases; If you put the Barbarian King near your Town Hall, the attacking troops can be drawn towards the Barbarian King, and consequently approach the Town Hall.
- Every attack you make on a building or unit creates a small explosion.
- The Barbarian King and the Archer Queen were added as part of the January 10, 2013 update.
- When you tap on it, it will yell a low battle cry, stay still for a moment, and play an animation. The battle cry and animation vary between skins:
- In the default skin, the Barbarian King has two battle cries (one is identical to the sound he makes when deployed, and the other is a normal battle cry); the battle cry it makes when touched in this case is random. He also makes a welcoming gesture with his iron fist.
- King Gladiator and King PEKKA perform the same animation when touched, and share a slightly different, muffled battle cry.
- The Skeleton King makes the same sounds as the King by default, but has a different animation in which he removes his head and bows to the player.
- The Merry King waves his hand, which is not a sword, at the player (and then raises his sword once) and makes a Santa Claus-like laugh.
- The Primal King makes the same sounds as the King by default, but has a different animation in which he slams his bone sword against the ground while using his swordless hand to scratch the ground.
- The Clockwork King also raises his sword like most skins, but he also raises and extends his non-sword hand. It also has a unique battle cry that sounds mechanical.
- The King of the Party plays his guitar before striking a pose, and a chord is heard.
- The Champion King waves his sword in the air and growls as a fanfare sounds.
- The Pirate King grinds his hook (which substitutes for his non-sword hand) into his cutlass while grunting.
- The Warrior King spins his sword before swinging it at the player.
- The Rogue King removes his crown and leans toward the player. Like the original skin, it has two "screams".
- When the Barbarian King is fully healed, a jingle will sound, like that of the Archer Queen, the Grand Sentinel, and the Royal Fighter.
- The Barbarian King lives in City Hall according to a tweet from Supercell.
- At max level, the Barbarian King has the most HP of any troop in the game.
- When the barbarian king "falls" in battle, an explosion occurs and a bright beam of light is sent temporarily into the sky. He is then seen in a daze and with stars flying around his head for the remainder of the battle.
- Each successive upgrade of the Barbarian King adds approximately 2,5% health and 2% damage, but every five levels also adds a constant two minutes to his total regeneration time. As a consequence, the Barbarian King's regeneration rate changes as he levels up.
- In Town Hall Update 14, all heroes except Royal Fighter have had their upgrade cost and upgrade time reduced. For example, the update time for the Barbarian King, the Archer Queen and the Grand Sentinel for level 2 has been lowered from 12 hours to 4 hours. Additionally, its upgrade cost has been greatly reduced, allowing players to upgrade their heroes quickly even without the Golden Pass.
-
Regeneration rate for each level; click to enlarge
The Barbarian King's regeneration rate fluctuates each level, with the regeneration rate drops every fifth level and small increases for every other level. From an initial regeneration rate of 170 HP per minute at level 1, it reaches a maximum of 183 HP per minute at level 4 and shows a downward trend to level 15, where there is a minimum of 150,13 HP per minute. Beyond level 15, decreases in every five levels are offset by increases in the other levels, finally reaching 276,5 hp per minute at level 79 before dropping again to 267,86 hp per minute in level 80.
- Before the July 2014 update, the Barbarian King, like the Archer Queen, albeit slightly, used to have higher damage and hit points than he currently has, making him more powerful than the PEKKA Before being nerfed, the Barbarian King's level 40 damage was 571 and his hit points 5701. In Village Edit Mode, if the Barbarian King's Altar is empty and the King fully regenerates, the Altar glows, but the Rey will not appear.
- Prior to the July 3, 2014 update, defending heroes had no radios, which means they will go after troops no matter where they are, such as Clan Castle troops.
- The Gladiator King, PEKKA King and Primeval King skins have four-fingered hands, while the other skins, including the one that comes by default after the Town Hall 14 update introduced a new model for the Barbarian King skin by default, they have five-fingered hands.
- This is the same case for the Jolly King skin and Skeleton King skin where they are shown with five fingered hands in battle and picture but are shown with four fingers in the 2020 Halloween loading screen and 2020 Winter loading screen.
- Prior to the January 29, 2014 update that introduced hero skills, and prior to the October 12, 2020 update that removed the sleep button for heroes, the original description of the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen was "Heroes can attack enemy villages or guard your village. Heroes can be hurt, but they are immortal. Heal them by letting them sleep or by using the heal button. Heroes will not defend the village while they sleep.
- The Barbarian King is the first hero to have a skin, which is the Gladiator King, when the Season Challenges were first added as part of April 2, 2019.
- King PEKKA and King Jolly are the only skins for the Barbarian King who wields a shiny sword.
- With most of his skins, the Barbarian King will alternate between hitting Buildings with his sword and his fist. However, both types of hits do the same damage.
- One exception is the King of the Party skin, where all of his attacks involve his guitar (with which he attacks in two different ways, either by striking the body of the guitar against the target or by making a stabbing motion with the body of the guitar like a leaf).
- The Pirate King skin uses its sword in its two attack animations, slicing the target in two different ways.
- The Barbarian King was also part of the Town Hall level 7 starter pack, which came with the Barbarian King, a level 3 Tesla Tower, and 1.200 gems that cost $ 9,99.
- The barbarian king is the hero with the most skins, currently 11.
- The Barbarian King is the only hero in the Main Village whose attack type is melee and can only attack ground units.
- The appearance of the Barbarian King was redesigned twice. Before Heroes Skins were added, the original pre-rendered Barbarian King texture had visual changes at levels 10, 20 and 41.
- Initially, the Barbarian King had an appearance similar to that of a giant Barbarian, with a steel crown, a steel gauntlet, and a steel shoulder guard. He used a blunt sword with a stone hilt.
- At 10th level, his gauntlet changed from steel to gold.
- At 20th level, the edge of the shoulder pad became gold, and the center spike became gold.
- At level 41, his crown turned gold.
- The Barbarian King is the only hero in the Home Village whose attack type is melee and can only attack ground units.
- At max level, the Barbarian King has the most HP of all the troops in the game.
- The Barbarian King and the Archer Queen were the first heroes added to the game.
- He and the Archer Queen have the highest levels of all heroes.
