    Summary

    Your Order

    • The Inferno Dragon is a Super Clothes based on the Baby Dragon. It can be unlocked by empowering the Baby Dragon when he is at least level 6.
    • The Inferno Dragon is a super version of the Baby Dragon that attacks with an infernal beam that accumulates damage over time, like the single-target Inferno Tower.
    • Starting the Baby Dragon requires 25.000 Dark Elixir or a Super Potion, and doing so allows the Baby Dragon to start up for 3 days. The level of the Infernal Dragon that you get from the boost corresponds to the level of the Baby Dragon that you have.
    • Due to the level requirements, players need Town Hall 12 to turn baby dragons into hellish dragons. However, due to the Lab's level cap, players need a Clan Castle of level 6 or higher to get one donated, allowing any Town Hall 10 or higher to get one.
    • In Dragons do not have a preferred target when they attack; they will simply attack the closest building. However, once they become aware of the presence of enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes, or Skeleton Trap skeletons (either from having been attacked themselves or from being near another friendly troop under attack), they will leave their building previously targeted and instead face enemy troops. Once all nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Hell Dragons will proceed to attack the nearest structure.

    Strategies

    Offensive

    • Infernal Dragons can serve very well as part of air strikes, as they have the ability to take down high-health buildings quickly. Also, they don't lose DPS when alongside other troops.
      • This is especially good for LavaLoon attacks, where you can send them in with the main army and let them take down the defending Queen Archer and Royal Fighter, allowing other troops to be used elsewhere (For example, allowing a Charge of the Reina aims at something else like City Hall.
    • The Air Traffic Controller should be a defense to consider when using Hell Dragons. The Air Controller's push will send the Inferno Dragon out of range of its target, resetting its damage stack.
    • Inferno Dragons can be pretty bad at taking out moving targets, especially a defending Barbarian King, as they will often have to re-aim each time these targets move, resetting the Inferno Dragon's damage stack. However, against the defending Archer Queens and Royal Fighters, they can be easily defeated by various Infernal Dragons because defending heroes tend to stay put.
    • Like their non-super counterpart, they can also be used to create funnels, but this is only better than a Baby Dragon when there are many high-HP buildings, due to their less space-efficient health and lower low-level DPS. .
    • Against a defending Hell Tower, cast a Lightning Spell. Restores the charge and deals a good amount of damage, in addition to shooting other commonly used Clan Castle troops.
    • Against a defending Hell Dragon, you can swarm with troops that are low on living space, or you can use your Archer Queen if she is high level (at least level 45).

    Defensive

    • Hell Dragons make excellent Clan Castle troops. His ramp damage acts as a mobile Hell Tower on defense. An Ice Spell or Poison Spell is almost always necessary to save the tanks and heroes of this troop.
    • Infernal Dragons are slowed by low HP buildings. Putting them around your heroes can buy time before they are targeted by the Inferno Dragon.
      • Put them around high damage buildings as well, so they can kill or do great damage to the Inferno Dragon before they are destroyed.
    • An Air Traffic Controller is detrimental to the Inferno Dragon. Protect them well and have them cover the entire base to destroy the Infernal Dragons.
    • Infernal Dragons are much less efficient in health than their counterpart. Focus on doing high damage zones to waste the space they take up.

      • The Inferno Dragon was added to Clash Royale on 30/9/2016. The descriptions for Clash Of Clans and Clash Royale mention that the Inferno Dragon lightning deals more damage per second over time. The Inferno Dragon was added to Clash of Clans in the Summer 2020 Update alongside Super Witch.

    • The Inferno Dragon was first shown in a dark silhouette at the end of a livestream from the developers. That was the only thing known about his "confirmation."
    • Before the maintenance hiatus on July 1, the Inferno Dragon appeared without a shadow due to a glitch.
      • According to the official Clash of Clans website, the Hero Slayer could have stolen the shadow. The post can be found here.
    • The Inferno Dragon is slower than the Baby Dragon, despite being of the same race. This is possibly due to wearing extra gear.
    • The barrel on its back can contain Dark Elixir, as it is the fuel of the Inferno Tower just as the Dark Elixir is necessary to empower it.
