- At levels 1 and 2, it is a normal round bomb with a wick.
- At levels 3 and 4, it is covered with four golden spikes around its circumference.
- At levels 5 and 6, the bomb is covered in gold metal with several rivets and four gold spikes.
- At levels 7 and 8, the metal on top of the bomb and the underside of the bomb turn gold.
- At levels 9 and 10, the bomb is hexagonal and the spikes are pyramid triangles.
- Bombs are cheap traps that remain hidden from the enemy until activated by a troop that enters their activation radius.
- If a bomb goes off, it must be repaired, or it won't explode on the next enemy attack. This means that if the village receives an attack in which several bombs explode, subsequent attacks will not have to engage them until they rearm.
- Although they are the weakest traps, bombs can play an important role in defending a base, although it does have to rearm after each attack.
- Although the bombs are classified as defensive buildings, they are not actual buildings and do not need to be activated or destroyed to achieve 100% destruction of the enemy base.
- The bomb has a slight delay of about 1,5 seconds between the time it is activated (when an enemy passes within 1 square of it) and when it explodes, causing splash damage to all enemy ground troops within a radius of 3 boxes. This means that the ideal places to place them are not areas of passage, but where the troops will be a certain amount of time, such as surrounding a defensive building.
- By itself a bomb does not do much damage, although if they are grouped together, they can give a good account of a group of goblins or archers.
- The most used strategy is to place the bombs around the outside of the wall that protects the buildings in the village. The external buildings serve to group the troops, so by the time they reach the wall, the bomb damages several troops at the same time. This is mainly effective against Division 1 troops, although grouping several bombs together can be very dangerous for a group of giants.
- Be careful when leveling up a bomb, as while it is being upgraded, it will not explode and its position will be visible to the attacker. To avoid this, simply move her while she is improving, as there are players who explore your village in advance of their Revenge attacks.
